Adelfried is a wizard from another world stranded in the suburbs of Texas. Since the moment he arrived, he’s been hunted and attacked and has only survived until now because the Harper family agreed to take him into their home. In his attempts to get back to his world, a magical experiment goes wrong and transports him and the Harper family’s dog to an unfamiliar part of town. Getting back should be simple, but the annoying greyhound has other ideas.

Between squirrels, suspicious children, and the irresistible smell of hot dogs, Adelfried begins to wonder if the greyhound is determined to expose his magic to the world.
